Review: BAG-2-GO ORGANIZER

So you might want to know that I’m very OC.. but more on the outside rather than the inside of my bag.

When my parents got me a Large Long Handle Longchamp, the first thing i noticed when I used it for the very first time was that my bag seemed so sad as it sagged like overcooked spaghetti, and that the order of the things i placed inside seemed to shift every step i took.

So i got myself a Bag-2-Go organizer from http://shoppingbliss.multiply.com/ because of all the good reviews i read. I was torn between a bag organizer and a base shaper, but since this one held the promise of keeping your stuff from tumbling inside the bag, i went for this one.

*note: not clearly visible here but the partitions are not stitched along the bottom. small things might move between compartments.

I got one in the color Flirty Pink (because you know..) in size LARGE (L11.5”xW5”xH6”). It was being sold for P450 + P50 for shipping for a total of P500. The shop owner says that for MEDIUM and LARGE Longchamps, they would recommend getting a large organizer.

They have a MEDIUM sized one ( L9”xW4”xH5”), for use on smaller bags for P345 ea.

♥ I SAY: This one i HIGHLY DISAGREE with. Base…shaper? The BAG-2-GO organizer does not come with a base shaper, nor does it come with a sturdy or firm base. The base is made of the same polyester cloth that makes up the rest of the bag. Unless you put books and other large flat materials inside, the BAG-2-GO organizer will not act as a base shaper. With my crafty powers i  had to devise my own base shaper to help shape the bag. You can buy base shapers specifically for whatever bag you have (available on Ebay, from 50-350 pesos each) or you can make one yourself with cloth, plastic, cardboard, leather and what have you. Here’s a photo for comparison:

see how my bag sagged with just BAG-2-GO? And how happy and perky it became with my makeshift base shaper? A base shaper is pretty functional specially if your bag is almost empty! (which is almost always my case)

PROS:

• may declutter your bag
• may work for small to medium bags
• provides your bag with extra compartments and pockets

CONS:

• expensive. there are cheaper alternatives in, let’s say..Landmark! :D
• does not come with a base :(
• small stuff tend to  move between incomplete partitions
• not for big bags

WILL I RECOMMEND IT?

Not really. If you want just a bag organizer, look for cheaper ones in the department store. Landmark sells them pretty cheap. In pretty colors (and transparent too!), and some even come with zippers at the top to close everything, and handles to make bag-changing a breeze. Plus, if you really just want to keep your bag’s shape intact, specially if you have a saggy Canvas bag (ie. Longchamp doih) just get a base shaper. It’s cheaper plus it works even though you only have a few things inside le bag!
