My Nikon D40 is now something like 4 years old. :))) I’ve always loved it! It takes awesome shots, unlike the crap they pass off as “entry level SLRs” nowadays. I barely need to edit photos in lightroom with the D40, but I do edit in photoshop since sometimes the framing is off (my eyes are bad!)

SOOOOO… Flipping thru my boyfriend’s FHM issues (i hate how women are objectified here, but I read them for the articles that are, sometimes very useful) a few years ago, I stumbled upon a feature starring master Ramon Bautista. There he says that his favorite camera THEN was his trusty ol’ D40 too! 

I use the kitlens (18-55mm), a 50mm, and a few other attachments :> I will ALWAYS choose Nikon over Canon because…

Thinking ahead, I summoned up enough courage to ask Mr. Bautista to recommend me my next SLR :> I’m very textbook re: upgrades so i want to take it easy. D40 was my entry level, so next i wanted a mid-level :D

He told me to get a D7000. Not bad.

then, a 10-24mm, a 50mm, and the the kitlens that comes with it.

So yes, after my car, this would probably be next. then more luxury. the house can wait, my housing loan is waiting. :D 

as in srsly kahit ibribe nyo ko to get a Canon, i’d rather eat sand.
